‘Witness To Hope’ by George Weigel – technically it is not on my reading list since I have started reading it.
“Be Not Afraid” – these are the words that got me interested in learning about the person behind them – Saint John Paul II. Here is the entire quote: ‘I plead with you, never, ever give up on hope, never doubt, never tire, and never become discouraged. Be bot afraid.’
Of course, the words ‘Be Not Afraid’ appear in the Bible too and are said by Jesus. I had seen the quote on Pinterest. And that post quoted Saint John Paul II. It had such an impact on me that I had to get to know him.
The book is amazing. I feel like I am getting to know him from the beginning. I regret not knowing him and paying more attention to him when he was the Pope. I was still a child. But I have this book and I am going to keep learning more about him.
