Artificial Intelligence – The Downfall Of Human Authenticity

2025 – the year of AI (Artificial Intelligence). Every company is going gaga over jumping on its bandwagon. It’s more driven by FOMO than actually understanding its usefulness.
My opinion – not required. AI is not required in this world. I would say Google is the limit. A repository of information should be as far as technology should go to ‘make life easier’ for humans.
At least then humans need to use their brain to search through the information Google has created for us. Google – I am all for it. And being a coder, Google is my best friend. Learning to search on Google is a skill that many people overlook.
When you Google something you want to learn, your mind is at work. By sifting through articles, you tend to pick up more information than required before you ultimately find what you are looking for. This increases your personal knowledge base.
In terms of writing code – you get to see a list of different ways of building a functionality. But with AI, it will hand you the best way possible on a platter. And you do not get exposed to any other solution.
And this brings me back to why AI is not required. It will end up limiting peoples’ knowledge on concepts. If you do things just the way AI tells you to, then where is your authenticity, your personal touch?
AI’s selling point – it saves time and you get to focus on more important things. But it looks like AI will do that for you too. Then where is the human touch going to fit in? What would the human do?
For humans to stay relevant, the next best thing is learning how to use AI to your advantage. I still don’t like it, but we got to do what we got to do. Again, the skill of Googling comes into the picture.
Know your concept without the help of AI using Google and then use AI to show you a solution. After that, you make the call on whether to go with your opinion or AI’s or better yet, a combination of the two. And that’s how you keep the human touch relevant.
Artificial intelligence should always exist to assist and never to replace.
