Let Go

It was a sunny afternoon at Lake 192. I had just had lunch and stepped out for a little walk around the house. There was a cool breeze in the air. It was just right, not too hot and not too cold. I took a seat at the picnic table by the lake.

I was so at peace in that moment. Maybe this was what inner peace felt like. All I needed was my puppy Benjamin (beagle) who was back home. For now, it was the owner’s fluffy little Corgi that joined me after a while and kept me company.

I was gazing at the lake, lost in thought when I felt someone next to me. I looked over and saw Minhyuk smiling at me. He came closer and kissed my cheek making me blush.

“Hi…”, he said and rested his head on my shoulder.

“Hi Min”, I said and tried to move away from him.

“Why?”, he said and did not let me move away.

“Min, what are we doing?”

“We are dating”

“But I leave in 4 days”

“So?”

“So I think we should end this”

“No”

“But how…”

“Shhh, just trust me”, he said and planted a kiss on my lips.

So I did just that, I had nothing to lose, except for maybe my happiness if what we had ended. But I knew I would get over it. Been there done that, you know. So for the first time in my life, I decided to just let go completely and be happy.

Who knows, maybe Minhyuk has a plan.
