The Confession

The next morning, Minhyuk was very quiet in thought. This was the first time I saw him so lost. I was in the kitchen preparing breakfast. He was staring out the window on the opposite side of the kitchen, his back to me.

“Baby… you okay?”

“Huh….”

“….Nothing”, he smiled and ran his fingers through his hair. He made his way to the kitchen and hugged me from behind. He placed his chin on my shoulder and watched me as I chopped up some onions and tomatoes.

When the time came for me to move, he did not let me go, but followed me, still maintaining the hug, his arms wrapped around my waist.

I giggled, this was so new to me. It felt so warm and cosy with him.

“What?”, he asked as he kissed my neck.

“Nothing, I like this, I like you”

“I love you”, he said and I stiffened up.

“Seriously? You’re surprised?”, he said and spun me around to face him.

“Umm”, I blushed.

He kissed me on the lips and then spun me back around so I could continue getting breakfast done. But he continued to hug me.

“Daniella”, he whispered in my ear, his breath tickling me. He continued whispering, his lips grazing my ear as he spoke, “I’m yours, that’s what was going through my mind when I looked dazed. It has never happened before, this feeling. I don’t know about you, but this is it for me. I’m not going to let you go unless you…I can’t even imagine it! I’m yours and I hope you feel the same way soon.”

He left kisses along the length of my neck as he continued to hug me from behind, tightening his embrace around my waist every now and then. I felt so safe in his arms.

But I was so taken aback by his confession. It was so real and matter-of-fact. That was when a few of my shields came down – He may be the one.
