Recently, life has steered an earthly Porche 911 off the rat-race-filled highway onto a bypass road. It cut across many kilometers and arrived at a pitstop that seemed quite a distance away.
But now we are at that pitstop. It has changed the course of life that was envisioned. There were no warning signs, the bridge gave way and now we are on the service road.
But that little Porche 911 did not give up. She grieved and is still grieving, although no one sees it, including herself. But she is holding it together. She has dusted the rubble off herself and revved to life. She still needs to take a breather and switch off the engine. The time will come when doing that feels okay for her.
At this pitstop, she’s recalibrated her GPS to follow a new path. For some time the service road will be the path to follow. But we will not be getting back onto the highway of life we left.
Now, we will leave the service road to move on to a more focused highway. A highway that doesn’t cut through life’s moments, but one that curves and weaves along those bright spots in life. Now the Porsche will cruise and not just speed through.
She will take long stops along the way to take in those moments of life, be it bright or dim. And it will not be quick stops, it could be a long break or even permanent. Now, the Porsche needs to find a garage located in an area where she is happy and content.
The Audi R8 will always be either just around the corner or cruising by your side.
